I’ve never been drawn to landscapes or still lifes, they don’t look back at you. They don’t laugh mid-frame or blink away a tear. For me, the magic is in people. In the quiet connection. In the moment someone sees themselves differently for the first time in years.

I’m Helena Kristiansson, a portrait photographer based in Sollentuna, just outside Stockholm. My studio is a space for everyday women - mothers, daughters, entrepreneurs, grand-mothers - to feel seen, celebrated, and truly beautiful again.

I know what it’s like to be a woman who struggles to see her own beauty. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help others reconnect with theirs.

The women in my portfolio aren’t models. They’re real people, just like you, who decided to put themselves first for a moment and say yes to being photographed. Many walked in unsure and hesitant and walked out lighter, stronger, more themselves.

When you step into my studio, you don’t need to know how to pose, what to wear, or how to “look photogenic.” I’ll guide you every step of the way. From professional hair and makeup to gentle direction during your shoot, my goal is simple: to create the most beautiful portrait you’ve ever seen of yourself. Read more about the experience here.

I'm Helena, a portrait photographer based in Sollentuna just outside Stockholm. My studio is a space for everyday women - mothers, daughters, CEOs, creatives - to feel seen, celebrated, and truly beautiful again. The women in my portfolio aren't models. They're real people, just like you, who’ve taken a moment to step in front of the camera and say yes to themselves.

I don’t believe you need to be “ready” to be photographed. You don’t need to lose ten kilos or figure out how to pose. You just need to show up. I’ll guide you through every step and together, we’ll create the most beautiful portraits you’ve ever seen of yourself.
